Synopsis

The chapter opens with a statement implying a character is cornered and has no escape. The character, Xiao Chen, is facing a seemingly insurmountable enemy who feels good and therefore chooses to spare him for the day, promising a future confrontation where he will not be so lenient. Xiao Chen reflects that he thought he was going to die. Later, after the enemy leaves, Xiao Chen realizes that his martial arts had no effect on his adversary, highlighting the vast difference in power.
