Synopsis

This chapter establishes Vikir as both intellectually gifted and athletically capable, defying initial expectations based on his studious image. He demonstrates an incredible grasp of battle theory, correctly pinpointing a barbarian tribe's stronghold, which impresses his professor and gains points for his Ice Corps, though he loses some for appearing to sleep during class. Additionally, the chapter introduces "Run Flat," a team-based sport that reveals Vikir's unexpected prowess, contrasting with his bookish persona and causing a stir amongst the other students.
