Synopsis

The chapter opens with Vikir Van Baskerville being born, already aware of his past life as a loyal 'hound' who was falsely accused and executed. He remembers his devotion to his family and their betrayal and is determined to take revenge. He is thrown into the Baskerville family trial, a maze of swords leading to the Styx River, which can enhance the bodies of children, aiming to monopolize the river’s effects. Despite the immense pain, Vikir endures, knowing this power is essential for his future revenge.
