Synopsis

The chapter centers around the fallout of rumors about Joshua, the Duke's concubine's son, defeating centurions. A princess and others discuss his supposed mana curse, while a count named Poncelle is assigned to look after him. Meanwhile, Chiffon, secretly aligned with Joshua's older brother Babel, plans to use a 'sparring' match to expose or eliminate Joshua. Cain is initially chosen but Babel intervenes, wanting to 'help' his younger brother and thus, the stage is set for a confrontation.
