Synopsis

The chapter opens with Young Lord Veron giving a one-week deadline to Baron Provallum to procure elves, threatening his livelihood if he fails. Veron then explains his philosophy of ruling through intimidation. Later, while out for a meal, Veron encounters Count Rebreka and a young noble named Ash, escalating to a confrontation when Veron insults Rebreka's daughter, revealing Ash's terrifying killing intent.
