Synopsis

The chapter reveals Arden's engagement to Marian as well as a timeskip. Arden, now a knight, is forced into a fight at the academy, during which he's insulted and provoked with attacks on his parentage. Simultaneously, his family's position is threatened by the Emperor, who plans to reduce the ducal families and has targeted the Duke of Agnus. Lastly, we see a flashback detailing how Arden's mother married the crown prince and the difficult decision she was forced to make for the sake of her family.
