Synopsis

The chapter opens with the group landing roughly in the red zone, quickly discovering it's teeming with monsters. One member explains the commonality between calamities, while another reveals that the creatures are emanating from a Disgorging Root. They determine the Root's true body is deep within its structure but a vulnerable point lies inside its "demon's mouth," where monsters emerge. A character plans to use their knowledge and get past the swarms while a third character is surprised that the main character will not be scared.
