Synopsis

The chapter opens with a seemingly humorous robbery attempt which quickly transitions to a family dinner before focusing on a temple investigation. An assassin from the Persephone guild, hired by the Duke, infiltrates the Saint's home using sleeping gas. The assassin reveals his mission of investigating the Temple of Light and finding the Duke's missing son. He blackmails the Saint, demanding information about Zephyr by poisoning temple priests, whose slow decline would be visible once they leave the temple.
