Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Abbess of Nine Calamities' disciples dealing with captured assassins, demonstrating the sect's growing power. A senior disciple interrogates a surviving assassin about their numbers and goals, and scorns his perceived weakness. Despite facing overwhelming odds, the assassin, the leader of the Blood Shadow Group, resolves to survive and become a 'natural enemy' to his opponents, indicating his determination for revenge even as his group faces destruction.
