The chapter begins with the protagonist finding and quickly defeating a C-rank boss and its group of trolls, feeling much stronger than expected and gaining two levels along with a new powerful skill. Meanwhile, other players at the same gate are frustrated because they found no boss monster. The Hwarang Corps arrives and announces a random inspection of awakened players due to reports of a Kao Player appearing at D-Rank gates, creating a sense of unease and setting up a new conflict.
The protagonist easily defeats a C-Rank boss and its minions, leveling up and acquiring a new skill. Other players are frustrated by the lack of boss monsters and a large group of Hwarang Corps arrives announcing inspections for a Kao Player.
