Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist's inner monologue about the cost of his hermit cloak and his plan. He then interacts with a group of people who discuss a novel and its importance, before a confrontation with the 'Prophets' group. The protagonist, using his disguise, takes control of the situation by defeating the real leader and exploiting the group, forcing them into subservience. He then completes part of his scenario objective while planning his next move by gathering information from his new subordinates.
