Synopsis

The chapter opens with the main character, Reinelle, transformed into a crow, trying to understand her new abilities while focusing on the immediate threat of a demonic invasion. The Empire is surrounded, prompting evacuation and defense efforts led by the Empress. A Duke is accused of suspicious behavior, and Luwellin is moved away from the palace to the front lines, ostensibly for his safety. Despite her concerns, the Empress refuses to involve Reinelle in the battle, citing her uncertain power, and leaves her under the protection of others as she and the main forces move to face the demonic threat.
