Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the transformed prince, Karmeut (as a crow), interacting with Reinelle and apologizing for his actions. He reveals his true feelings to her, since she is an animal who cannot speak, and asks for her forgiveness. Later, Karmeut leaves Reinelle in the care of a guard with strict instructions and then has a tense meeting with his brother Luwellin, who is worried about his sudden disappearance. The chapter ends with Luwellin remarking on Karmeut's apparent lack of change despite the events.
