Synopsis

The chapter introduces Mielle, a unique spiritualist with contracts with four superior spirits, earning her the title of Count. Reinelle, attempting to maintain her noble disguise at a banquet, is closely watched by Countess Pynxia. She is later approached by a foreign prince for a dance, but the king intervenes, dancing with her instead. Reinelle reflects on the intimacy of the dance and the king encourages her to be herself.
