Synopsis

Reinelle grapples with guilt over past actions and worries about Karmeut's condition after he was cursed. The chapter introduces Marquis Namiel and Mirdin-nim who assess Karmeut and discuss the curse's nature, revealing it's linked to human desire and difficult to remove. The curse is eventually removed temporarily, and Karmeut awakens to a distressed and angry Reinelle who was worried sick about his condition and perceived recklessness.
