Synopsis

The protagonist is recovering from injuries sustained previously, noting he's earned the Emperor's trust. The demonic cult leader unexpectedly appears, showcasing overwhelming power and putting down the Emperor’s men while making demands for the Imperial Seal, revealing a hidden agenda beyond just overthrowing the emperor. The chapter ends with the protagonist learning he will be laid up for a month and a request to see him from the Southern Military General.
