Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the start of the 'Path of the Heavenly Demon' trial, where cadets of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult are tested by the chief examiner, Fae Mutung, a former frontline martial master. Cadets are warned that failing even the early trials will result in becoming slaves of the cult. The protagonist and another cadet, Gon Seoyeon, pass the initial test, with Seoyeon using a strange technique (revealed to be filtered from her actual weapon), surprising onlookers. Lee Hoyoung then attempts a counter attack using the skills he learnt in order to prove his lineage as a successor.
