Synopsis

Prince Gale engages in a hunting trip while secretly maneuvering to have Ian, the bastard son of Derga, appointed as Lord despite his criminal lineage. The court discusses this appointment, focusing on Ian's mana-user abilities and the potential financial gain he represents for the palace. Minister Wesley attempts to propose enslaving Ian, but the conversation is steered towards assessing his ability to pay an exorbitant tax. It's revealed Gale planned this whole appointment to force Ian into debt and cause him to lose the estate while not gaining it himself, further highlighting his cunning nature. Finally a carriage bearing the emperor's order arrives.
