Synopsis

The chapter details the start of the S-Class and A-Class performance assessment at the magic academy. Students are grouped and tasked with fighting monsters, with the protagonist observing Aselle, a Light Class student, who intends to take on a mid-level monster alone. The protagonist reflects on Aselle's character and worries about her ability given her class disadvantage, but recognizes this is the best way for her to maximize her score as she is unlikely to get reverse bonuses with a light class. She manages to defeat the monster, impressing those around her.
