Synopsis

The chapter opens with the aftermath of a conflict where the protagonist and their classmates appear to have unintentionally provoked a fight with a group called the 'Tigers.' The protagonist then moves on to talk about selecting electives and decides to take alchemy basics. They learn that the job is a lot more work than anticipated and discuss planting crops with their professor. The conversation then shifts towards a discussion of different cultural cooking traditions and the professor's dislike of stew due to their strict, nagging relatives in the east.
