Synopsis

The chapter begins with the introduction of elemental magic, comparing different elements for offense and defense, while the main character's unique water ability is seen as obscure. He faces rumors regarding his motivations for learning magic, but quickly impresses the professor by successfully using light magic. The lesson moves onto the concept of different elements, introducing fire, earth, water, wind, and darkness. The class begins to focus on fire magic, however the main character is told to practice water magic due to his control of light being a danger to his eyes and fire being a danger in general.
