Synopsis

The protagonist initially deals with his mentor's bizarre training methods and a coach who refuses to give him specific instruction and also is assigned to be a starting pitcher against the formidable Incheon Sharks. Despite being considered unskilled, the opportunity is given to him early in his career to demonstrate his abilities, which is perceived both as an opportunity by some, and an act of setting him up for failure by others. The chapter also highlights contrasting training philosophies, with a focus on a specific coach’s new methodologies.
