Synopsis

The chapter opens with citizens panicked by the ongoing battle in the city, but the Grand Prince Jinseong's forces successfully quell the rebellion led by Park Wonjong. Despite the victory, the newly crowned king, who never wanted the throne, is overwhelmed by the events and expresses his fear and inadequacy. He is resistant to the responsibilities of kingship, much to the frustration of his advisors. The chapter ends with the king in distress and his advisors frantically trying to calm him.
