Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist defying orders by consuming a dangerous viper, later using his knowledge to prepare it for others, displaying a strange practicality. He rejects his arranged engagement and the expectations that come with it, causing friction with his fiancee's brother. He then embarks on a mission to Beauty Peak with the Extermination Unit where he is resented. Despite their antagonism, he challenges their prejudiced views regarding a past tragedy, indicating a developing sense of justice, while the unit secretly acknowledge his value.
