Synopsis

The chapter opens with the Young Leader of the Lesser Sun Palace confronting the Merchant Palace Master about their hidden agendas and his son's attempted murder. The Merchant Palace Master tries to placate him with a Sun Plaque and the promise of loyalty, before shifting to offering the Young Leader a position of power within the Sun Cult, including lavish gifts and support. Despite these attempts, the Young Leader remains skeptical and calls out the Merchant Palace Master's manipulative behavior, revealing his awareness of the Merchant Palace Master's calculated actions, implying his desire to use the Lesser Sun Palace for personal gain.
