Synopsis

The chapter begins with Corin disarmed, forcing him into hand-to-hand combat against Fermac, a warrior from a place called "Shadow Paradise". Corin initially struggles, realizing his boxing is inferior to his spearmanship. However, Corin's suffering seems purposeful, leading Fermac to a specific location near Corin's lost spear. Corin exploits an opening with a counter-attack that leverages his close-combat skills, and predicts Fermac's actions.
