Synopsis

A powerful character strategically retreats from a fight, knowing that his actions will lead to a scarcity of resources. He manipulates a group on the island by initially providing them with food, which then causes them to become dependent. This dependence creates an opportunity for him to further his own goals, as they now find killing for food easier. The chapter ends with him providing intel to an opposing group, effectively setting up a conflict and undermining the group he seemingly helped.
