Synopsis

Helmlit, a human raised in a demonic forest, questions his current situation after learning about a human who visited the forest before. His guardian reveals that this human may be dead due to the forest's demonic energy, but Helmlit remains hopeful. The chapter also reveals that the forest serves as a place of exile where the protagonist was placed after being born with the 'Seed of Darkness,' and humans have previously been sent there, with their crimes forgiven if they survive. He and some other humans in an organization are also dealing with a demonic presence that has left traces on the land.
