Synopsis

The protagonist is pressured into a duel with his team manager, who is clearly much stronger and quickly overwhelms him. While being beaten, the protagonist's mind flashes back to a harsh childhood training experience with his mother. The manager seems to be purposefully testing the protagonist’s skills rather than wanting a fair fight. The chapter concludes with a hint that the protagonist will need to grow significantly to stand up to the powerful manager.
