Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist's group arriving at their destination, where they encounter another group of mercenaries. A tense negotiation ensues over who arrived first, and therefore has a claim. This dispute is quickly set aside when the new group reveals they have valuable information regarding the location of the vagrants, who are being sought after because they attract contaminated creatures. This leads to a deal, which sets the stage for a collaboration.
