Synopsis

The chapter focuses on an assessment where characters attempt to graft demonic cores. One character selects a red 'strength' core, leading to an initially astounding synchronization rate that then plummets, causing the core to crack and their power to vanish. The assessors dismiss this as a malfunction due to an abnormal core and the character's supposed lack of willpower. Despite the failure, the character manages to pass the assessment due to some error and is set to face a live demon in the final round.
