Synopsis

The chapter opens with the rookie squad being confronted by a senior squad, Black Gun, who accuse them of stealing A-rank missions. This leads to a skirmish where the senior squad kills the demons the rookies had captured alive, prompting a bigger conflict. Squadron Leader Ji Yaotang intervenes, reminding them of the rules emphasizing competition and points-based rankings. Despite scolding the seniors for their defeat, he warns them that it is their job to get better, and the senior squad vows revenge on the rookies, setting up further conflicts.
