Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist owing a debt, which is doubled after attempting to flee. The protagonist, who is also revealed to have stolen an item, learns that the famous thief Jang Babksan has been captured, leading to heightened government alert. Shortly after, the protagonist is betrayed and surrounded by constables, revealing a mysterious individual who claims the protagonist is constantly under their observation, setting up a cliffhanger for next chapter. The stolen Buddha statue is also revealed as a major plot point, something that the protagonist is being hunted for.
