Synopsis

Gu Yangchun is frustrated with the search for a white maple tree, doubting its existence. He gets into a violent altercation with a member of the Namgoong Clan, demonstrating considerable strength and ruthlessness. Later, Yangchun reflects on the situation, concerned about the implications, while his attendant searches for him after he's reported missing from a clan meeting. The chapter ends with Yangchun being found in the mountains, surprised that he was searched for.
