Synopsis

Jihyoung reflects on his past, revealing a history of bullying due to his painful regenerative ability, while simultaneously dealing with the current trauma of his mother's brutal attack. He learns the world is controlled by powerful hunters using gates as pathways, and that his country is suffering for lack of such hunters. This drives him to swear revenge and also vow to save his mother, regardless of how long it takes and how painful the process is. He undergoes a terrifying and transformative regeneration where his body is destroyed and rebuilt.
