Synopsis

The chapter opens with news of Donovan being ambushed, followed by a tense reunion with Auvers, who blames Donovan for the chaos that occurred after their captain's death. It's revealed that Donovan and Auvers served under the legendary Sword Phantom Fergen, and that Donovan rebelled against their commanding officer Lumond. Despite a history of conflict, Donovan's life was spared by Fergen, leading to a dishonorable discharge instead of execution. Prince Varluka, also present, expresses a desire to meet Fergen, piquing the interest of the mercenary group.
