Synopsis

The chapter opens with a quirky cleric who has unusual customs regarding food and his devotion to the Sun God, perplexing the group. Urich, the barbarian, shows a surprising interest in learning to read and asks the cleric to teach him. The group then arrives at a castle and are hired by Count Havirond, demonstrating their reputation and Urich's fame as a powerful mercenary. Finally, we learn that the cleric accompanies armies to give blessings and funerals.
