Synopsis

A factory is mysteriously blown up, initially dismissed as an accident, but the detective suspects military involvement. Meanwhile, Moriarty confronts those behind a secret weapons project, using kidnapped people as specimens. Moriarty is publicly accused and hunted but manages to taunt his pursuers before hinting at his next location being the grand capital. He also discusses the need to counteract the "Fire's Silence" with gunpowder resistant to its effects.
