Synopsis

The chapter opens with Investigator Seo being tasked to arrest Yang Tae. Yang Tae initially tries to reason and bribe the Nirvana Pavilion Master, hoping to avoid punishment. However, the Pavilion Master reveals he has a witness statement against Yang Tae and a rule that favors investigator testimonies. He then presents Yang Tae with an ultimatum: confess to his crimes and receive a lighter sentence or face a harsher one. The Pavilion Master also reveals he's enforcing the law because of Yang Tae's son's bullying and Yang Tae's threats against an investigator, and concludes the chapter by forcing Yang Tae to confront the state of the Demonic Cult's decline.
